Candidates will vie for Democratic nominations in several Jasper County races in Tuesday's primary.
County Councilmen Martin Sauls and Theodus Drayton will face challengers.
Sauls will defend the Coosawhatchie Township seat against Samuel Gregory, a former County Council chairman and school counselor. Republican Richard Arizillo also is running for the seat in November.
Drayton will defend the Robertville Township seat against contractor and business owner Leon Smith. Republican Kelly Champlin will also seek the seat in November.
Probate Judge Buster Kleckley faces a challenge from business consultant Rodney Brown.
Treasurer Verna Garvin and Auditor Hazel Holmes, both Democrats, are running unopposed.
