The Southwick Fire Department in Massachusetts shared a homeowner's security camera footage of a pancake-loving dog igniting a house fire while its owners were away. The video shows one of the family's dogs jumping up to reach a plate of leftover pancakes and hitting the ignition button on the gas stove. Mike Austin posted video on YouTube of a meteor sailing through the sky during part of his commute Tuesday night. He wrote that he "didn't hear any loud sounds" during his drive on I-75 Northbound between Troy and Bloomfield Hills in Detroit. NWS Detroit later tweeted that it could confirm that "the flash and boom was NOT thunder or lightning, but instead a likely meteor." USGS then confirmed that the meteor caused a magnitude 2.0 earthquake.

Baltimore Police stopped a vehicle on Friday that matched the description of a car wanted in connection to multiple shootings.
