The driver of a fatal single-vehicle crash near Hardeeville Thursday morning has been identified as a Rincon, Ga., woman.
Amy Solomon-Wright, 41, died after being thrown from the Toyota Camry she was driving westbound on U.S. 278 about a mile east of Hardeeville, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol and Jasper County Coroner Martin Sauls III.
The vehicle went off to the right side of the road and struck a guardrail and tree around 1:30 a.m.
She died at the scene.
Solomon-Wright, the only occupant, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the patrol said.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
