A Georgia woman was killed in a one-vehicle wreck on I-95 in Jasper County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
The woman, identified by Jasper County Coroner Martin Sauls as Theresa Phillips, 68, of Dublin, Ga., was driving on northbound I-95 near mile marker 14 about 1:20 p.m when she ran off the road and struck a tree, Senior Trooper Hannah Wimberly said.
Phillips was wearing a seat belt, Wimberly said, but died at the scene.
