An adult and a child suffered what appeared to be “serious” injuries Wednesday afternoon after their vehicle ran off a Bluffton road, according to Capt. Lee Levesque of the Bluffton Township Fire District.
The vehicle was headed northbound on Gibbet Road when it crashed around 12:55 p.m., Levesque said.
The victims — a male and a female — were taken to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah by Beaufort County EMS. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free the victims from the wreckage.
