A two-vehicle collision reported around 2:20 p.m. sent two people to the hospital and caused heavy delays on Hilton Head Island Thursday afternoon.
The crash involved a Toyota Prius and a Nissan Versa and happened at the intersection of westbound U.S. 278 and Squire Pope Road, according to Hilton Head Fire and Rescue spokesperson Joheida Fister.
Only one person was in each of the vehicles, Fister said, and both were taken to the hospital.
No information on the cause of the crash has been released.
