Downed power lines that stalled traffic briefly Tuesday on Burnt Church Road in Bluffton near Bruin Road have been cleared and the road opened.
The Bluffton Township Fire District was dispatched to 127 Burnt Church Road to fight a grass fire that erupted after a truck crash knocked the lines down, according to Joy Nelson, spokesperson for the Bluffton Police Department.
As of 1:40 p.m., both lanes of Burnt Church Road were closed, Nelson said. The road had been re-opened as of 3:30 p.m., according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
No injuries have been reported, Nelson said.
