Academy graduates 11

The 11 students of Abundant Life Academy's Class of 2009 graduated Thursday in the Hardeeville school gym.

• Speakers: The Rev. Edward Earwood, executive director of the S.C. Association of Christian Schools; the Rev. Paul D. Broussard, pastor of Abundant Life Ministries; as well as the valedictorian and salutatorian.

• Valedictorian: Lindsey Nicole Gaymon earned a 5.25 grade point average and will study radiology at Armstrong Atlantic State University.

• Salutatorian: Debra Lindsey Wynn earned a 5.25 grade point average and will study education at Armstrong Atlantic State University.

• From the principal: "This is one of those classes that 'came in under the radar.' They are so well-behaved, smart and respectful. I know God has great plans for their lives, and they will do great things." -- Julie W. Bowman, principal
