The following reports were filed between Oct. 21 and Oct. 24 at the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office on Hilton Head Island:

DAUFUSKIE ISLAND

Car break-in

• Freeport Landing, 1 Freeport Road -- Tools worth $975 stolen from 1993 Chevrolet van. Window smashed. Damage: $300.

GREATER BLUFFTON

Car break-ins

• Gibbet Road -- 200 CDs worth $2,000, speakers worth $500, a television worth $500 and 20 DVDs worth $200 stolen from Ford E-150.

• Friendship Lane -- Purse and wallet worth $100 and cell phone worth $200 stolen from 2005 Chrysler Crossfire.

Grand theft auto

• Plantation Point Apartments, 897 Fording Island Road -- 2006 Pontiac Grand-Am worth $21,000 stolen. Later recovered on Interstate 95.

Shoplifting

• Nautica, 1270 Fording Island Road -- Two pairs of jeans worth $70 stolen.

Theft

• Circle-K, 1565 Fording Island Road -- $4,520 in cash stolen from bank deposit.

• Hilton Garden Inn, 1575 Fording Island Road -- $300 in cash stolen from purse in hotel office.

Vandalism

• Plantation Point Apartments, 897 Fording Island Road -- 1987 Nissan Maxima shot multiple times by gun. Damage: $1,500.

• Callawassie, 1 Tucker Point -- Community gate broken. Damage: $1,200.

• Tanger Outlet Center 1 and 2, 1270 Fording Island Road and 1414 Fording Island Road -- Three soda vending machines broken. Damage: $1,000.

• Kensington Boulevard -- Door handle of 2003 Hummer H2 broken. Damage: $500.

• Shady Glen Circle -- Window of mobile home smashed. Damage: $150.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND

Burglary

Southwood Park, 8 Southwood Park Drive -- $1,000 in cash stolen from home.

Car break-ins

• Crabline Court -- Two break-ins. Global-positioning unit worth $700 and iPod worth $350 stolen from vehicle. Purse worth $100 and $80 in cash stolen from 2001 Acura MDX.

• Critter Management, 10 Dunnagans Alley -- Tools worth $975 stolen from vehicle.

• Mall at Shelter Cove, 24 Shelter Cove Lane -- Two iPods worth $500 stolen from 2006 Toyota Scion.

• The Breaker's, 4 North Forest Beach Drive -- Television worth $250 stolen from 2005 Mazda. Glovebox broken. Damage: $250.

• Carrabba's Italian Grill, 14 Folly Field Road -- $200 in cash, a briefcase worth $180 and CD player worth $50 stolen from 1997 Ford Taurus.

• Ketch Court, 2 Lighthouse Lane -- Radar detector worth $200 stolen from 2006 Cadillac Escalade. Window smashed. Damage: $300.

• Tree Tops, 137 Cordillo Parkway -- CD case worth $100 stolen from car. Window smashed. Damage: $100.

Grand theft auto

• Oceanwalk Villas, 10 Lemoyne Avenue -- Vehicle worth $3,000 stolen.

• Gallery of Shops, 14 Greenwood Drive -- 1998 Mercury Villager worth $2,000 stolen. Later recovered behind British Open Pub, 1000 William Hilton Parkway.

Shoplifting

T.J. Maxx, 32 Shelter Cove Lane -- Clothing worth $19 and cosmetics worth $10 stolen. A 31-year-old greater Bluffton woman was arrested.

Shoplifting

• Bi-Lo, 70 Pope Avenue -- Two pieces of fried chicken worth $2 stolen.

Theft

• Seaside Villas, 23 South Forest Beach Drive -- Pipes worth $700 stolen from ceiling of parking garage. Damage: $1,000. A 35-year-old island woman was arrested.

• One Hot Mama's, 7 Greenwood Drive -- Prada purse worth $350 containing two pairs of sunglasses worth $500, a cell phone worth $350 and digital camera worth $150 stolen.

• The Metropolitan Hotel, 36 South Forest Beach Drive -- Vending machine broken. Undetermined amount of money and snacks stolen. Damage: $600.

• Coligny Plaza, 1 North Forest Beach Drive -- Laptop computer worth $500 stolen.

• Oxford Drive -- Handgun worth $400 stolen from garage.

• Timbercrest Circle -- $200 in cash stolen.

Vandalism

• Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts, 10 Wilborn Road -- Racial slurs spray-painted on windows and exterior wall of cafeteria. Damage: $500.

• Island Recreation Center, 20 Wilborn Road -- Vending machine broken. Damage: $500.

• Hilton Head Plaza, 5 Greenwood Drive -- Passenger upset with fare punched window of taxi. Damage: $200.

• Oceanwalk Villas, 10 Lemoyne Avenue -- Molding around door broken. Damage: $200.

• Publix, 45 Pembroke Drive -- Two vending machines broken. Damage: $200.
