Beaufort County employee charged with debit card theft
A Beaufort County employee was arrested Monday after allegedly stealing a debit card left in a Bluffton ATM and using the card at seven businesses, according to the Bluffton Police Department.
Tocasha F. Andrzejczyk, 33, of Plantation Point Apartments was charged with one count of financial transaction card theft and seven counts of financial transaction card fraud.
She was arrested Monday at the Beaufort County Government Center where she works as a real property records technician in the Assessor’s Office, said Lt. Bryan Norberg, spokesman for the Bluffton Police Department.
Authorities were able to identify Andrzejczyk by obtaining security camera footage from the ATM in Sheridan Park and other Bluffton-area businesses where the card was used to rack up $465 in charges, Norberg said.
Andrzejczyk’s bond had not been set on Monday evening.
