Bluffton man sought on fondling charge
A 20-year-old Bluffton man is wanted for allegedly breaking into a home and fondling a woman while she slept, according to a Beaufort County sheriff's report released Tuesday.
The incident occurred April 21 at Simmons Cay Apartments, 57 Simmonsville Road, when the woman awoke and scared off the intruder.
Officers collected a fingerprint from the inside of a screen that had been removed, and made a cast of a footprint near the window.
The fingerprint match, returned to police in June, was from Craig T. Warren, who had been arrested previously on other charges, the report stated.
A witness identified Warren as the man who had been peering into the victim's window before the assault, the report said.
Warren, whose last known address was 8 Brendan Lane, is wanted on burglary and assault and battery charges.
