Robbery suspects dress as security guards
BEAUFORT -- A woman was robbed in front of a Beaufort store by suspects who appeared to be security guards.
The two black men and a black woman pulled up behind the victim in a silver Ford Crown Victoria at the Bi-Lo on Boundary Street on Monday afternoon.
A woman wearing a uniform with patches, a hat and badge approached the victim, said Maj. Matt Clancy, spokesman for the Beaufort Police Department. The suspect removed a pistol from a holster and demanded cash.
Authorities later found the Ford, reported stolen in Walterboro, burning along U.S. 17.
