Police nab suspect in string of laudromat thefts in Bluffton
A man wanted in a string of thefts at a Bluffton Laundromat was arrested Monday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.
Surveillance footage from at least six incidents since July showed what appeared to be the same man breaking into machines at the Bluffton Coin Laundry at 10 Godfrey Place. Footage showed the man damaging and stealing money from washers, dryers, video games and candy machines, the release said.
On Monday, authorities said a 42-year-old Bluffton resident will face multiple counts of malicious injury to property and petit larceny.
The investigation remains active.
The Sheriff's Office asks anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. J. Adams at 843-842-4111, ext. 252, or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
