Tea Party Express coming to Beaufort

The Tea Party Express Nationwide Tour will stop in Beaufort for a rally Nov. 10.

Festivities get under way at 3:30 p.m. at Chambers Waterfront Pavilion, 1006 Bay St.

Beaufort is the 35th stop on the Tea Party tour that started Oct. 25 in San Diego. The tour then moves to Jacksonville, Fla. The purpose of the Tea Party Express is to express opposition to out-of-control government spending and high taxes, according to a news release from the organization.
