I was looking through some of my favorite magazines to see if I missed anything when I read them the first time around. In the November 2011 issue of Garden & Gun, there is an article on the 50 best Southern foods and where to find them. The House Smoked Trout Chopped Salad caught my attention because it sounded so unusual, as did the name of the restaurant that serves it, RouXbarb in Knoxville.
I forgot about it and filed it away in my head. Well, lo and behold, the owner of the restaurant came into my store one day not long ago to ask about something I had for sale on my porch. His name is Bruce Bogartz, and he was in town on a fishing trip.
His restaurant is considered to be Knoxville's best. I wish it were a bit closer because everything he cooks sounds really delicious. If I'm ever in that area, I will certainly be dropping in for lunch or dinner.
The course covers boat handling, how to use a radio and everything else boaters need to know.

You can freeze barbecue, so think about putting some away for Mother's Day weekend.
The school is holding an open house and luncheon so prospective students can meet the faculty. You will also learn about programs offered and how to go about taking the law school admission test. The open house will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
