We could not have wished for a lovelier weekend than the one that just passed for the arts and seafood affair.
As far as I could tell, it was well attended, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves tremendously. We live two doors down from The Bluffton Oyster Co., so we are always front-row, center at all of the goings on there. It was well worth the effort of all concerned to give us Blufftonians and visitors alike a memorable time. Thank you, everybody.
The ladies and gentlemen at The Church of the Cross are busy preparing for the annual Christmas Bazaar, which will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 19. There will be a fabulous array of handmade goodies for sale, including the famous "vintage angels." Kitchens have been a flurry of activity in many Bluffton homes, where women are preparing jams, jellies and preserves. The men of the church will serve hot dogs and their delectable chili the day of the bazaar. I don't need to tell you to shop early -- the crafts and homemade food items fly out of the door early.
