Work progresses Aug. 28, 2014, on River Ridge Academy. The school is being built off Davis Road in Bluffton, across S.C. 170 from the back gate to Sun City Hilton Head. The district broke ground in June on the prekindergarten through eighth-grade school. The district, along with architect Hite Associates and contractor Thompson Turner Construction, expects the building to be finished by next school year.
