Beaufort County School District buses will start their engines early Wednesday after bus routes were delayed due to cold-related bus trouble Tuesday morning.
"Out of 149 bus routes this morning, nine had issues," said district spokesman Jim Foster.
The cold caused hydraulic lines to freeze so that bus doors could not be closed, Foster said.
Students on the nine affected bus routes arrived about 15 minutes late.
"We will start up the buses a bit earlier this afternoon and tomorrow morning so that this problem will resolve itself before the routes begin," Foster said.
