The Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Officers' Spouses' Club is accepting applications for merit scholarships for graduating high school seniors and continuing education students pursuing an undergraduate degree. The 2012 Aquila, Beaufort Academy's yearbook, was recognized for excellence and featured in Jostens the 2013 "Gotcha Covered Look Book," celebrating the best-of-the-best in yearbook design and coverage. The 2012 Aquila was one of 425 yearbooks selected from approximately 3,000 across the country.
Senior Tommy Fang was recently recognized as a 2013 Heritage Classic Foundation Scholar.
The school received two $500 2012 ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Grants from Mixson Oil Co, Tiger Express and Anderson Oil "to encourage the next generation to pursue studies and careers in fields involving math and science," according to a news release.
The Blood Alliance will be in the school parking lot Thursday.
The school will host the Relay for Life Survivor Dinner in the gym Thursday.
