The Lowcountry Master Gardeners Association has established an annual scholarship for students from Beaufort, Colleton and Jasper counties who are attending Clemson University. To be eligible, students must be majoring in horticulture, turfgrass, agricultural education, forestry or environmental and natural resources. For more information, students should contact Clemson's financial aid office, which is administering the scholarship.
The Governor's School for Science and Mathematics will host GoSciTech, a summer camp program that includes physics, chemistry, robotics, electronics and programming, anatomy and marine biology. The PTSO will meet at 6:30 p.m. April 26. All juniors and seniors planning to attend prom must attend this meeting along with a parent.

Thursday is a Chick-Fil-A spirit night 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The school's book fair will run April 30-May 4.
Students have collected $1,150.84 for Pennies for Patients, a service and philanthropy program that helps people with blood cancers. The top fundraisers were Mrs. Samuel's second-grade class. They will have a pizza party and receive a bronze pennant for raising $178.57. Mrs. Spence's fourth-grade class will receive a bronze pennant for raising $108.14.
Lady's Island Middle and Intermediate schools
Erika Powell, Miss South Carolina, will host a session on pregnancy prevention for families of middle and high school students at 6 p.m. May 4 at the school. Details: 843-322-5448

Class group pictures and individual spring pictures will be taken Tuesday. The group photos cost $8 and must be preordered.
Mossy Oaks Elementary PTO and students invite everyone to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event. The event begins at 7 p.m. Friday at the Beaufort Middle School track and runs until 7 a.m. Entrance is free. The school's PTO will be selling baked goods as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Riverview Charter School
