Repairs to the DuBois Park pavilion, which was damaged by a truck Sunday, will cost about $10,000 to $13,000, less than police initially estimated, according to town of Bluffton spokeswoman Debbie Szpanka.
Work should be completed within three weeks, Szpanka said. The pavilion was damaged early Sunday after a white truck crashed into the structure and the four male occupants ran from the scene, according to the Bluffton Police Department.
Officers have determined the owner of the truck had lent it to a relative, but that person is not cooperating with police, Maj. Joseph Manning said. The department must wait for the results of forensic testing to make an arrest, he said.
