A bank robbery Monday in Glynn County, Ga., might be connected to a Bluffton bank heist earlier this month, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Surveillance footage indicates both culprits were white males with goatees. Both wore a baseball cap, sunglasses and dark clothing, according to the Sheriff's Office and a Glynn County police news release.
In Glynn County, police were called to an Ameris Bank at about 11:30 a.m. Monday after a man approached a teller and said he had a gun, according to the release. He ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.
A similar incident occurred July 14 at the TD Bank on U.S. 278 in Bluffton.
No one was injured in either robbery.
Sheriff Sgt. Robin McIntosh said it was unclear Tuesday whether the two robberies were committed by the same man because he had not been found or identified.
