One driver was ejected and suffered minor injuries in a two-car wreck about 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Bluffton Parkway and Buck Island Road in Bluffton.
One car rolled onto its side during the crash.
"The accident looked a lot worse than it was," Bluffton police spokesman Maj. Joseph Manning said.
One person was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital, Bluffton Township Fire District spokesman Randy Hunter said.
Westbound traffic on the parkway was closed and traffic was diverted onto Buck Island Road after the the accident, Hunter said. As of 3 p.m., the intersection was clear.
Bluffton police were still investigating the cause of the crash Sunday afternoon.
