A clerk noticed the two men moments before they walked into a Hilton Head Island bank Tuesday, pulled a gun and demanded cash, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.
Then, the woman, who is six months pregnant, saw them cover their heads -- one with a hat and the other with a white pillowcase -- as they neared Atlantic Community Bank on Corpus Christi Place at about 1 p.m.
"Something's wrong," she told a second clerk.
She walked around her desk to lock the front door, but fainted a few steps short, the report said.

Investigators are still searching for the robbers, who then entered the bank, pointed a gun at the second clerk and forced her to empty several money drawers, according to the report.
Some of that cash was "bait money" that set off the bank's alarm. The clerks' supervisor, who was in a back office, had to watch the incident unravel on a security camera after pressing an alarm, as well, the report said.
Before the robbers left, they pulled the second clerk into a hall and made her sit on the steps before stealing her cellphone, the report said. She saw the men run toward Pope Avenue.
While EMTs examined the pregnant clerk, no one was injured in the robbery.
Sgt. Robin McIntosh said the incident remains under investigation. The robbers, described as black males, have not been identified.
The robber who pointed a gun was wearing a white golf shirt with gray stripes and a black hat. McIntosh said it's not clear whether the other man was armed. He wore a black shirt and jeans and covered his face with a pillowcase, according to the Sheriff's Office.
A witness said the two men appeared to have approached the bank from Sea Pines Circle.
