A man told deputies two men stole his shoes and pants and assaulted him this morning on Hilton Head Island, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office advisory.
The victim, 21, told deputies he was robbed and assaulted about 3 a.m. this morning after driving to the area of Mitchellville Road with two women interested in purchasing drugs, the advisory said.
Once there the two women left the vehicle and met two men in a dark blue sports car. The victim told deputies the men pulled him from the vehicle and assaulted him, ripping off his shoes and pants, and taking his wallet and cellphone.
The victim fled the scene, knocking on doors until he was allowed to use a phone to call family.
