A Hilton Head Island man was arrested early Wednesday after reportedly pulling a gun on a fellow restaurant employee, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office news release.
Witnesses told deputies James Jones, 24, got into an argument with a 36-year-old male co-worker shortly after arriving for his shift at Burger King on Museum Street at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, the release said. As the incident escalated, Jones reportedly pulled a sawed-off shotgun from a bag and pointed it at the victim's face.
Jones is then accused of threatening to kill everyone in the restaurant before placing the gun in the bag and leaving the restaurant, the release said.
He returned a few minutes later without the bag, according to the release, though a Sheriff's Office K9 searched the area and located the weapon, a Winchester MK2 shotgun.

Jones was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm, unlawful possession of a sawed-off shotgun and second-degree assault and battery, the release said. He was being held Wednesday at the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office pending bond hearings.
