A Bluffton man was charged Friday with throwing a cinder block into a moving car, striking a 5-year-old girl, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.
Charles Anthony Bush, 42, was reportedly standing near the intersection of May River Road and Gibbet Road at about 6:20 p.m. when a Nissan Versa drove past. Bush picked up a cinder block and threw it through the rear passenger window, hitting the child in the head, the report said. EMS treated the girl at her home for a cut and bump.
Bush was charged with first-degree assault and battery, as well as malicious injury to property.
