Two Hilton Head Island men were arrested in Bluffton on Friday after a police search turned up more than 100 prescription pills, according to a Bluffton Police Department news release.
Dustin Rushing, 23, and Robert Timblin, 21, were walking in the Pin Oak Street area about 3:30 p.m. when Bluffton officers stopped to speak with them, the release said. The men seemed nervous and agitated, the release said. After patting the men down, police seized 106 Xanax pills and marijuana from Rushing and a digital scale and a methadone pill from Timblin, the release said.
Rushing was charged with felony possession of a Schedule 1 drug, marijuana possession and providing false information to an officer. He posted a total bond of $6,090 and was released from the Beaufort County Dentention Center on Saturday.
Timblin was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted a total bond of $15,620 and was released from the center on Saturday.
