A Hilton Head Island man serving home detention on an attempted-murder charge was arrested Thursday night and charged with several drug crimes.
Over the course of several months, the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office conducted controlled purchases of drugs that led them to search a home in the 500 block of Spanish Wells Road, according to a news release.
After arriving at the home about 6 p.m. Thursday, deputies arrested 25-year-old Dayne Edward Wright and a 49-year-old Hilton Head Island man. Deputies also collected about 415.4 grams of marijuana, 30.5 grams of crack, 3.2 grams of cocaine, several pills and various types of drug paraphernalia.
Wright was charged with trafficking crack and possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to distribute. He is being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center on a total bond of $40,000.

The 49-year-old man was charged with simple possession of marijuana and cocaine. He was released from jail on a $5,620 bond.
Wright was arrested June 19 in connection with the Feb. 17 shooting of a Hardeeville man. He allegedly fired several shots at Kennard Brown, then 31, who was treated at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah and was released. Sgt. Robin McIntosh has said the shooting might have been an act of retaliation following a "long-standing feud."
Wright was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
He was released from jail Oct. 29 on a $50,000 bond, according to 14th Circuit Solicitor's Office spokesman Daniel Brownstein. As a condition of Wright's release, he began wearing an electronic monitoring device and was restricted to his home except to travel to and from work, according to court records.
The Solicitor's Office routinely requests electronic monitoring for defendants after a judge decides to set bond, Assistant Solicitor Sean Thornton said.
Wright originally was denied bond. Judge Carmen Mullen agreed to his release and electronic monitoring Sept. 19.
