A Pickens County man who pleaded guilty to threatening to kill U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and his family is scheduled to be sentenced Friday, according to court records. Simon Peter Long was charged with mailing a communication last year that contained threats to kill Graham, a South Carolina Republican, and his family, according to a federal grand jury indictment. Long pleaded guilty earlier this year, according to court records. Long faces 10 years in prison, the U.S. Attorney's Office has said. Senior U.S. District Judge G. Ross Anderson Jr. is scheduled to issue the sentence.
