Bluffton Police Chief Joey Reynolds was recently sworn in as the 3rd vice president of FBI National Academy Associates Inc.
The organization is the premier training and networking organization for top law enforcement officers and has nearly 18,000 members, according to a news release. All members are graduates of the FBI National Academy.
As the 3rd vice president, Reynolds will attend regional meetings and training converences and act as a liaison for the region with the organization.
Reynolds is slated to be president in 2017. He has been a regional representative since members elected him in 2009.
The last time a South Carolinian was president of the organization was in 1981, according to the release.
