Nearly 400 customers in the Beaufort-area lost power following a thunderstorm Saturday afternoon, according to S.C. Electric & Gas.
The storm caused 43 separate outages, according to SCE&G's website, and initally left 12,500 people without power.
More than 4,500 customers experienced temporary outages on St. Helena Island. Another 2,200 outages were initially reported on Fripp and Hunting islands.
Other incidents were spread across Beaufort, Burton, Port Royal and Bluffton.

By 9:20 p.m., only about 400 customers were without power, the web site said.
