Fundraisers are planned this week to help a Beaufort girl paralyzed in a car crash buy a device that will allow her to stand.
Buffalo Wild Wings in Beaufort will host both events Saturday to benefit Kelli Bright, who was paralyzed from the chest down in a wreck outside Columbia on June 16, 2009.
Bright, a Battery Creek High School graduate and University of South Carolina Beaufort student, is trying to raise $30,000 with the help of friends to purchase a Paramobile, a wheelchair that would help her stand, work out and play sports.
The restaurant will host a car show from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Entry fees are $10 per car. A cornhole tournament will start at 11:30 a.m.; registration for the tournament begins at 10:30 a.m. and costs $40 for a two-person team.
Never miss a local story.
A motorcycle ride will begin at 9 a.m. from Buffalo Wild Wings. A pancake breakfast, starting at 7:30 a.m., will precede the ride. The ride costs $20 per single riders and $25 for double riders.
