A Seabrook man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery at a Port Royal restaurant in November, according to a police report.
Demetrese Mulligan, 29, allegedly robbed an employee of Dockside Restaurant at gunpoint in the parking lot about 9:10 a.m. Nov. 24, according to a Port Royal Police Department report. Mulligan allegedly demanded the employee give him the bag she was carrying into the restaurant, which contained $2,000, the report said.
The business's surveillance video showed the suspect driving off in a red Dodge Caliber, the report said.
A former employee of the restaurant on 11th Street, Mulligan had been terminated about three weeks before the incident, the report said.
Mulligan owns a red Dodge Caliber and matched the victim's description of the suspect, the report said.
The warrant was served on Tuesday, when Mulligan went to the Law Enforcement Center in Beaufort requesting a background check for a job, the report said.
Mulligan is being held for prosecution at the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond, according to the jail log.
