Two men were rescued Sunday afternoon in Colleton County after their boat capsized, according to Beaufort Water Search and Rescue.
The pair -- one of Yemassee and the other of Walterboro -- called 911 after their johnboat capsized about 1 p.m. in St. Helena Sound near Sams Point Landing, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Five boats -- including two from Beaufort Water Search and Rescue, one from the S.C. Department of Natural Resources and two private boats, along with a Coast Guard helicopter -- searched for the men.
After about an hour's search, the helicopter spotted the men in the marsh near Fenwick Island, according to the Coast Guard.

The men were picked up by DNR officers Josh Reid and Matt Oliver. Neither of the men were injured.
"The seas were very rough, with waves estimated by one boat to be 5 feet," said Dick Jennings, Beaufort Water Search and Rescue spokesman, who said the weather made for choppy water and very limited visibility.
The boat was spotted by the Coast Guard off Ash Island, but was not retrieved, according to Sgt. Robert Smith with the Department of Natural Resources.
