An out-of-control Burton yard debris fire destroyed a shed, a garage and the car inside Wednesday, the second day in a row a building burned because of such a fire in the area, a Burton Fire District spokesman said.
The Wednesday fire was on Clarendon Road, spokesman Daniel Byrne said. Firefighters responded around 3 p.m. It took them about 30 minutes to get the fire under control, Byrne said.
There were no injuries. The Beaufort-Port Royal Fire Department and Beaufort County EMS also responded, Byrne said.
On Tuesday, a yard debris fire on Jeter Road spread to a Burton resident's home and destroyed a shed. Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the home's roof.
