A Burton man was arrested on drug charges Tuesday by offficers from several law enforcement agencies.
Erick Kadeem Blash, 23, was charged with possession of marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy. The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, along with the U.S. Marshals Service and the Beaufort Police Department, made the arrest, which also included outstanding warrants.
During the arrest at about 1 p.m. at a home on Seaside Road on St. Helena Island, officers saw marijuana, according to a Sheriff's Office news release. They obtained a search warrant and found more marijuana, as well as ecstasy, a small amount of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, the release said.
Blash also was charged on outstanding warrants for unlawful carrying of a weapon, carrying a weapon into an alcohol establishment, receiving stolen goods, and driving under suspension.
Officers seized 1,634 grams of marijuana, 0.1 gram of cocaine, 2.2 grams of ecstasy and a handgun, the release said.
Blash is being held for prosecution in the Beaufort County Detention Center, with bond set at $40,400.
