'Outtakes' features a photograph that%0Dwasn't selected to go with the original assignment, but captured an interesting moment.%0D%0DSTAFF PHOTOGRAPHER: Delayna Earley%0D%0DThe original assignment: Two Fridays ago I was asked to go over to Hunting Island State Park and walk along the beach until I found pieces of foundation from the old beach houses that used to be on the island. In all I ended up walking on the beach for about four miles.%0D%0DThe outtake: While I was walking, every so often I would come across something that I thought was interesting. One of these things was the shell of a horseshoe crab that was lying in a patch of sand that had an interesting pattern. I took a photo of the horseshoe crab shell with my iPhone and manipulated the photo with a filter, which altered the contrast of the photo and the coloring of the photograph slightly.
