A 23-year-old Seabrook man faces a charge of possession of cocaine after a traffic stop, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.
Nicholas Brandon Smalls was a passenger in a white Ford Explorer that was pulled over about 5 p.m. Wednesday after deputies saw the driver fail to stop at a stop sign at the corner of Pinewood Circle and Mroz Road in Beaufort, the report said.
Deputies reported they found a plastic bag of cocaine in Smalls' pocket. The driver was cited with driving with a suspended license.
During a search at the Beaufort County Detention Center, authorities found a bag of marijuana in Smalls' pants. He was charged with simple possession of marijuana and introducing contraband into a detention center.

He was in the county jail Friday in lieu of bond, according to the jail log.
