A driver who failed to use his turn signal while driving on Trask Parkway on Saturday wound up in jail after Beaufort County Sheriff's Office deputies found cocaine in his pocket.
Ryan Matthew Spare, 23, of Burton was charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, and for failing to stop for blue lights, according to the Beaufort County Detention Center log. He was released on $10,620 bond.
According to an incident report, a deputy spotted a red Pontiac Grand Am turn from Poppy Hill Road onto Trask Parkway without using a turn signal at about 9:15 p.m. The deputy turned around to pursue.
A marijuana pipe was found in Spare's pocket and marijuana in the vehicle, the report said, and a small bag of cocaine was found in his front pocket.
