A woman said she asked her roommate of two years to go a pharmacy to pick up prescriptions Saturday evening. Instead, the roommate stole the drugs, used her debit card and never returned, according to the town of Port Royal Police Department.
The woman said at about 7 p.m. she sent him with her ATM card to pick up prescriptions for hydrocodone and Bactrim DS from a pharmacy and to pay for dog boarding. She expected him to return after the errands but he did not, according to the incident report.
The next morning, he withdrew $390, in $65 increments, from an ATM in a parking area at the Preserve.
Based on the signature, the pharmacy confirmed the suspect picked up the prescriptions. The victim said a bottle of Loritab was also missing from her medicine cabinet. The value of the missing medications is $300.
