The projects are expected to begin this spring, according Town of Hilton Head Island and Beaufort County officials.
Federal grants will cover about half of the cost of the projects.
The town has earmarked about $771,000 for four projects. The money will come from hospitality tax revenues left over from projects that cost less than expected or were postponed, according to town finance director Susan Simmons.
The county expects to pay between $600,000 and $700,000 for three projects.
The S.C. Department of Transportation will oversee the work and pay administrative costs.
