Capt. James Bukoffsky of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office hugs Wilma Coursen after the dedication ceremony Friday afternoon for Coursen Tate Memorial Park on Lady's Island. Coursen's son, Cpl. Dyke Coursen, and his partner, Lt. Cpl. Dana Tate, were shot and killed in 2002 while responding to a domestic disturbance. The 25-acre park named for the pair has two baseball fields, multi-purpose fields, a playground and a picnic pavilion with a plaque honoring the officers' memories.
