Four men charged with financial-identity fraud were in the Beaufort County jail Tuesday, with bond set at $50,000 each.
Bluffton police say Clarence Logue Jr., 51, attempted to use a false ID to withdraw money from Sun Trust Bank at 2 Westbury Park Way, using the name and personal information of an accountholder.
Logue, of Savannah, was arrested in the bank, while three other suspects -- Hakim Archible, 21, James Edward Nichols Jr., 24, and Anthony Dwayne King, 30 -- left the parking lot in a white 2011 Dodge Charger. They were pulled over minutes later by Beaufort County sheriff's deputies and turned over to Bluffton police.
Archible is from Fayetteville, Ga.; Nichols is from Decatur, Ga.; and King is from Atlanta, according to county jail records.
Bluffton police are still investigating how the suspects got the bank customer's account information.
Those with information can call Detective James Duke at 843-706-4567.
