A 21-year-old man has been accused of indecent exposure and peering inside the bedroom window of a Sawmill Forest home in greater Bluffton on Wednesday, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Eduardo Santos-Gomez of Shady Glen was charged after the homeowner spotted him at about 11 p.m. and called deputies, the Sheriff's Office said.
The resident saw a shadow pass by his son's bedroom window, a news release said, and when he looked outside he saw someone exposing himself. He said the suspect ran and then drove off in a Ford F-150 pickup truck parked nearby.
Deputies pulled over a truck matching the description as they were driving into the neighborhood, and the homeowner identified Santos-Gomez as the suspect, the release said.
Santos-Gomez's bond was set at $30,000, according to the Beaufort County Detention Center. Both charges are misdemeanors punishable by up to three years in prison or $500 in fines or both.
He is also wanted for questioning on his residency status by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, according to the jail log.
