Director's Award recipient: Jason Chaplin, who has studied building construction. Chaplin will enlist in the Marine Corps.
From the director: "The ACE Class of 2012 possesses a blinding combination of talent and untapped potential. While we have worked to have students perform at levels higher than they believed possible, it is easy to see that there is so much more that will be accomplished by this group of students. They have encountered obstacles and hurdles that caused many before them to give up on their dreams and on themselves. But this group knows perseverance! They know tenacity! Each of these students has learned to view obstacles as stepping stones. In the face of adversity, they dig deep within to push onward. I look forward to the day when I will see the magnificent things achieved by this graduating class. I wish the very best for each student in pursuit of their career aspirations." -- director Chris Dinkins
