Three persons and dog who ran aground in a 17-foot boat as the tide fell late Tuesday behind Pritchard's Island were rescued by members of the Fripp Island Sea Rescue.
The three and their canine companion had to walk from the stranded boat to the rescue boat, according to Paul Field, the rescue unit's case commander.
No injuries were reported. The group was taken back to Fripp Island Marina, Field said.
The boat will be brought to shore this morning, he said.
