The Francis Marion University men's golf team will play host to the seventh annual Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate Tournament today and Tuesday at Wexford Plantation on Hilton Head Island.
The event will consist of 36 holes today and a final 18 holes Tuesday. Both days will open with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts.
Along with Francis Marion, the field features Davidson, DePaul, Elon, Furman, Georgia State, Hartford, Louisville, Marshall, Ohio, Presbyterian, Radford, Richmond, Samford, USC Aiken, Western Carolina and William and Mary.
The 2011 champion, Indiana, won't be present to defend its title. Other past champions include Wake Forest (2010), USC Aiken (2006, 09), Elon (2008) and Chattanooga (2007).
The Wexford Plantation Course, which underwent extensive renovations last year, is 6,828 yards long and plays at par 72.
