The first Red Apron Chili Cook-off will be Feb. 25 at Tanger 2 Outlet Center in Bluffton.
Sanctioned categories are competitive red, chili verde, salsa and homestyle.
Spectators can watch the cooking and taste competitors' offerings. Judges will be selected from local celebrity chefs and personalities. Proceeds will go to Bluffton Self Help.
Competitors must be members of the International Chili Society before the cook-off and supply their own tent and cooking equipment. The last day to register is Feb. 22; the cost to enter is $35 per cooking team per category, plus International Chili Society membership fees. Those interested can register at BlufftonSelfHelp.org.
