A 34-year-old Florida man has been extradited to Beaufort County after DNA evidence linked him to a shooting death two years ago in Seabrook, authorities said Thursday.
Antonio Eugene Collins of Miami was charged Wednesday with the murder of 27-year-old Ronald Coleman, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Coleman was shot June 22, 2009, at his home on the east end of Seabrook Road.
Evidence suggested a shootout occurred between the victim and others, said Sgt. Robin McIntosh, Sheriff's Office spokeswoman.

McIntosh said witnesses and other evidence indicated that at least one of Coleman's attackers had been wounded.
Investigators charged Collins with killing Coleman after a DNA test matched his blood with bloodstains found at the crime scene, McIntosh said. Investigators are still working to identify and charge other suspects, she said.
McIntosh said robbery was a possible motive for the shooting. Investigators hope other witnesses or anyone else with information on the crime will come forward.
Collins is in the Beaufort County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing, according to the jail log.
